Hello, hello!
It is I, Erica aka the Crazy Dog Lady, on the blog today. With a sweet puppy card, featuring the Lucy Puppy stamp set. This is quite an usual card for me, as I am far more likely to mix and match my stamp sets than stick to just one. However, that is exactly what I did today!
To start with, I stamped up the puppy on Copic friendly paper with the Hybrid ink. Then I coloured her in using Warm Gray Copics, and a few pinks for ears and that big floppy tongue.
As I am a legit, no-denying-it Crazy Dog Lady, and BIG lover of animals, I added a lovey-dovey touch to the card. I used a heart shaped mask over the puppy and ink blended a little bit of Catherine Pooler pink ink around the shape of the heart. Naturally, I used the Life Changing Blender Brushes for this. Like, duh…
Once the ink blending was done, I removed the mask and stamped up one of the sentiments from the stamp set. I used ‘Thank You for being an animal lover’. A few paw prints were added too. These are also stamped with Hybrid ink.
With that, the card was done! Well, apart from a card base of course, but that’s not overly exciting.
I do not make very many true ‘one layer cards’. I do like a bit of dimension and layers but it’s good to challenge yourself to try new things. Stretch that creativity muscle so to say!
That’s it from me for today. Thanks for stopping by the PF Stamp blog and spending some time with me.
Lots of love and happy crafting from Erica
